BS & P Ltd, Winning Team at the Butterwick Golf Classic, 7th September 2010

Golfers from all over the region came up to par on Tuesday September 7th, raising more than £10,000 for Butterwick Hospice Care. The Hospice’s second Golf Classic at Rockliffe Hall attracted 22 mainly regional teams paying £350 each for the privilege. Green fees were waived by Rockliffe, who have ‘adopted’ the hospice as its charity this year.
The winning team was BS & P Limited from Bishop Auckland, who received their trophies at a dinner in the evening from compere, Alan Wright and Chief Executive of the Butterwick, Graham Leggatt-Chidgey.
Mr Leggatt-Chidgey said: ‘This year’s event was even more popular than last year, with four more teams taking part and their generosity – as players, corporate partners and sponsors – has been fantastic. ‘We’re very grateful to them and to Rockliffe for making it such a great occasion.’
Rok Building of Stockton were runners up in the competition, with Resilient Power Solutions of Billingham third, and Yorkshire Investment Group of Leeds, fourth. Resilient Power Solutions kindly sponsored filiming of the day's play, please click on link below to view.
Butterwick Hospice received such a high level of interest from companies wanting to play at this year's Golf Day that Butterwick has decided to host two Golf Days at Rockliffe Hall in 2011.

The Butterwick provides pain and symptom control, end of life, respite, day and home care, complementary therapies, bereavement care and family support free of charge to children and adults with life limiting illnesses. It has an adult facility in Bishop Auckland and an adult and children’s hospice in Stockton.
Butterwick serves the communities of Teesside, County Durham, North Yorkshire and Wearside.
