PORT OF TYNE WINNERS!
The Port of Tyne team beat off the competition to come first at the Butterwick Golf Classic Tournament at Rockliffe Hall on 6th September.
Graham Leggatt-Chidgey, Chief Executive, Butterwick Hospice congratulated and presented trophies to the Port of Tyne winning team, Jack Kasher, Mark Blakey, Steve Harrison and Ian Gibson.
The close, runners up team were Yarm Computers, Paul Alsop, Nigel Kidwell, Geoff Clarke and Glen Pickersgill who were congratulated by Graham Leggatt-Chidgey who presented the team with silver salvers to not only remind them they played a great game of golf in 2011 but that they are already booked in to do it all again next year!
Teams from all over the North East enjoyed a challenging day's play. Rain, sunny at times but mostly windy conditions made the day’s golf at Rockliffe Hall a day to remember. Some of the teams are shown here, raring to go, with others still enjoying a delicious 'Rockliffe Hall Breakfast'!
