Sparkling Success for Butterwick at Rockliffe Hall - A Diamond Venue!

It was a gem of a night for Stockton solicitor Leanne Nash, who came away from a charity dinner at Rockliffe Hall near Darlington on Friday with a diamond worth £1,500.
The diamond had been donated to Butterwick Hospice Care by Yarm jewellers, Freeman’s, as top prize at the black tie dinner at the hotel, which raised £10,000 for the work of the hospice.
Leanne (32) of Ingleby Barwick, who has worked for Archer’s Law for six years, said: ‘I was delighted to win such a fantastic prize. I’m not sure what I will do with it – possibly keep it as an investment.
‘I had never won anything in my life before, but in the past few months I have won a free pamper day and now the diamond. Perhaps I should start buying a lottery ticket.’
The diamond was presented to Leanne by Jill Freeman of Freeman Jewellers and Graham Leggatt-Chidgey, Chief Executive of the Butterwick.
More than 140 people attended the dinner, which was compered by Alan Wright, and featured entertainment from after dinner speaker and former Middlesbrough footballer, Craig Hignett, and impressionist, Kevin Connelly.
Mr Leggatt-Chidgey said: ‘It was a wonderful occasion and we’re very grateful for the support of our partners and friends, which has helped us raise such a fantastic amount.’
