Corporate Pledges for Hospice!

Corporate Pledges for Hospice!

Twelve new pledges of support for Butterwick Hospice Care have been made following a successful corporate lunch hosted by Wynyard Park near Billingham.

Pledges of everything from cash to corporate partnerships were made by companies from across the region as around 70 business people attended the event at Wynyard Park House to help boost the hospice’s coffers.

Others promised fundraising activities, goods and services in kind to help to the Butterwick, which has adult facilities in Stockton and Bishop Auckland and a Children’s Hospice in Stockton.

Chief Executive of the Butterwick, Graham Leggatt-Chidgey, said: ‘The business people of this region are a fantastic support to the hospice at a time when money is tight.

‘To get this sort of response speak volumes about their generosity and about how well-loved the hospice is in this area.’

Richard Cotter, Brand President, Berghaus Limited was the keynote speaker who gave a thought provoking presentation on 'Brand Marketing and Maximising the Return from your Brand Assets'.

Corporate Partner Award Presentations were made by Mr Leggatt-Chidgey to Wynyard Park, Rok Building, Teesside and Devereux Developments of Billingham.

The Butterwick provides pain and symptom control, end of life, respite, day and home care, complementary therapies, bereavement care and family support free of charge to children and adults with life limiting illnesses.
