Martyn Pellew, President, British Chambers of Commerce speaks about Business in the UK
Butterwick Hospice Care hosted a corporate reception for more than 100 representatives from companies all over the region at Wynyard Park, Billingham, last week.
Guest speaker was Martyn Pellew, President of the British Chambers of Commerce.
Martyn's presentation covered current topics which resulted in Butterwick receiving several compliments from guests who enjoyed hearing Martyn's thoughts on business in the UK.
The event was to encourage corporate support of the Butterwick, which is the largest Hospice organisation in the region, with two adult Hospices in Stockton and Bishop Auckland and a children’s Hospice in Stockton.
Chief Executive of the Butterwick, Graham Leggatt-Chidgey, told attendees that it cost more than £10,000 a day to run the hospices.
‘We are grateful for all the support we receive and our Corporate Partners and supporters are very important to us to help sustain and grow the services the Butterwick provides.’
The lunch and venue were sponsored for the fifth year running by Wynyard Park.
