New Ambassador for Butterwick!
During our July Breakfast Meeting, Martin Griffiths spoke about his wife Judy.
Martin lost his wife Judy to cancer in 2009 and he was left with the daunting prospect of bringing up their baby alone.
But where many men could have crumbled Martin has remained strong by throwing all of his energy into being a devoted dad to baby Samuel.
Martin was successful in winning the Evening Gazette ‘Champion Parent’ award in 2009. Martin is also a keen fundraiser and regularly runs the London Marathon and Great North Run on behalf of the Butterwick Hospice.
Martin has raised over £25,000 for the Hospice and Butterwick is proud to welcome Martin as an Ambassador of the Charity.
Martin is looking forward to speaking to various organizations about the highly respected services the Hospice provides to the local community.
