Peter Barron, Editor, Northern Echo is welcomed as the first Ambassador of Butterwick Children's Hospice

During a recent Corporate Partner Reception at Wynyard Hall in May 2011 Graham Leggatt-Chidgey, Chief Executive, Butterwick Hospice Care was pleased to welcome Peter Barron as the first Ambassador of Butterwick House Children’s Hospice.
Over 100 guests were pleased to join in and celebrate Peter's acknowledgement as the first Ambassador of the Butterwick Children's Hospice.
Peter first became involved with the Children’s Hospice when he led an editorial campaign to raise funds to build a new Butterwick Children’s Hospice. This support was instrumental in enabling the Children’s Hospice to open in 1998.
Peter Barron, father of four and Editor of The Northern Echo, has published his fourth book in the Dad At Large series, based on his column in the newspaper.
The book, called The View From The Doghouse, was officially launched at the Butterwick Children’s Hospice, in Stockton.
For every book sold, £1 goes to the children’s hospice and so far over £20,000 has been raised through Dad At Large and donations of Peter’s many speaking engagements.
